Kamal Hassan @ 57 learns Kathak
Kamal Haasan who is basically a classical dancer is all set learn Kathak at the age of 57. The reason is for the character that he is portraying in his latest film ‘Vishwaroopam’. He won the national award for her performance as a classical dancer in K Vishwanath’s ‘Sagara Sanghamam’. And now he is directing ‘Vishwaroopam’, in which he is portraying the role of a Afghanistan terrorist.
Kamal confirms saying, “It’s true that I’m learning Kathak from Birju Maharaj because that dance is a part of ‘Vishwaroopam’. Infact I wanted to learn Kathak for quite a long time and my wish is getting fulfilled now. I’m very happy about that.
