Bollywood to remake'Arya 2'
Bollywood is on a remake spree, especially from movies down South. The latest film that will be remade in Hindi is Sukumar's " Arya 2".
Ronnie Srewvala has bought the rights of the 2009 Telugu romance that is a follow-up to the actor's and the director's previous successful film, "Arya". "Arya 2" had Alla Arjun, Kajal Aggarwal, Navdeep and Shraddha Das in the cast. This film has also been dubbed in Malayalam with the same title and had become a blockbuster. Incidentally, the original Telugu film titled "Arya" was dubbed in Hindi as "Arya Ek Deewana".
Says an industry source, "The film, "Arya 2", has a lot of commercial elements. In fact, the music of the film was so successful that Salman Khan took the rights of one of the cult songs, "Ringa ringa", and got it remade into the superhit "Dhinka chika" from "Ready". This original song by Priya Himesh was played at cricket stadium during the breaks of IPL matches and the 2011 cricket World Cup that was held in Bangalore.
Though the director of the film hasn't been decided as yet, there are talks about Sukumar himself making his Bollywood debut with the movie. Of course, the official remake of "Arya 2" can't again have this number but all attempts will be made so that the Hindi music is a huge hit too."
